August 2009 Euro Trip

The day starts with a 3.00am push out of the garage, a fairly futile attempt at making a quiet start.	Chris checks the lifeboats out	We make Dover for just after 6.00	The car behind is going to get its headlights blacked out
The advertising hoardings have been recently restored	From Calais we headed straight for Reims to see the pits from the old Gueux race circuit.	On the opposite side the grandstand seats are crumbling away	The circuit was last used by F1 in 1966 and it closed permanently in 1972
	Jaguar are still very proud that their D-types came 1st & 2nd in the 1954 12 hour race	Heading towards Mulhouse near the Swiss border for our 1st night stop. Day one was 631 miles.	The impressive entrance to the Schlumpf museum
